For me, my fondest memory of Christmas in the 60s: 1. I thoroughly enjoyed this show. In those days, it was very cold in Christmas time and jumping into the Victoria harbour was something really brave. 2. These are the bits and pieces of my school days memories ....

operation santa claus was a very exciting event with english and chinese channel DJ joiont together (uncle ray co-hosting with 許綺蓮 etc). also i missed the 工展會現場點唱節目 among other things that happened in 紅磡填海區 which was where the train station is located now.

Merry Christmas everyone! I just decorated a little, quite Christmassy now...of course the house will be filled with Christmas songs tomorrow, even got jazz and disco versions...my Mom's favourite is Bing Crosby's White Christmas, too bad she's been laying silently at an elderly home for 8 years, silent night every night...will bring her turkey on Christmas day! Wishing Siu Yu and fans a wonderful Christmas and Happy 2010 with great health and happiness! I also hope for a peaceful world and never forget to help out others in need, amen.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Grace Yu said: > people born in the 50's are the lucky bunch, we get to see changes in life > developments of all kinds .... Absolutely ! The swinging 60s saw the complete change in fashion, art (esp music & movies) ... etc and many of the best were from this era. Yes, I love the film Polar Express too, esp. the latter half when the train was heading towards the Pole. When the song "I'm dreaming of a white christmas" (Bing Crosby) is being played nearly everywhere (esp. in the malls), I'd rather hear a song with the lyrics "I'm NOT dreaming of a white christmas, all I'm dreaming is a peaceful world .." It is by Gilbert O Sullivan (remember his classic Alone Again Naturally ?), simply called "Christmas Song" So I dedicate its Youtube video (made up of many many xmas cards) to Siu Yu and everybody http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_xBtxI-wqg Merry Xmas !!!

thanks pete. did you post this song to youtube? you do have the knack of sorting out the off-beat and the obscure. once again thanks for expanding our horizon.

Grace Yu      2010/12/21 21:10:08

Yes my dear Siu Yu, I am in your age group, am proud to be, people born in the 50's are the lucky bunch, we get to see changes in life, developments of all kinds, then from high ups to low downs, we've seen it, been through it and the best part is we also get to continue digging into further part of future, sharing what the world has left to provide, still strong and enthusiastic, ready to shoot! After watching A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey the other night, my festive mood has come alive, (was rather dull and passive...) now watching Tom Hanks's The Polar Express, it's very inspiring, I'm a child all over, happy! Merry Christmas my dear!

你欣賞昂貴的東西不是因為它的價錢或名氣,是它的品質及你對它深入的研究,these days who would spend unbillable hours like you to refine one's knowledge? Tina, Irene and I talked about you the other night and we missed you. Yes it's been a long time and hope everything goes well with you.

'A horse is a horse of course of course haven't u seen a talking horse.........I am Mr. Ed.' Opening theme song of the old black and white tv show. I've watched all the Mr.Ed tv series, so entertaining! There's another one, Francis the talking mule, also funny.
